procedures
  • Booking a Shoot
First, give me a call or use the ONLINE FORM to start a dialog about your project. We can discuss what type of shots you and/or your agent would like. From there we can decide when would be the best time to schedule a shoot. Scheduling is tentative until the deposit is received. Your deposit may be mailed in or sent via PayPal. More information about pricing can be found on the PRICING page.

  • Shoot Day
Click for Long Beach, California Forecast The first thing you'll want to do is check the weather report for the forecast for the day. Since I use natural light, an overcast or rainy day will result in having to reschedule the shoot for another day. I will call you to confirm a "rain-out" day and to reschedule.

You'll want to arrive on-time, with clean skin (no make-up) and clean hair. Make-up takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes. It pays to cover the details like having a nice manicure and having your eyebrows waxed or tweezed prior to shoot day.

You should bring a couple of choices per look in case we don't like how something photographs. Although I have a steamer on hand, I would prefer if your clothing choices were freshly ironed and ready to go. Don't forget the details like jewelry and accessories (belts, ties). If we are doing 3/4 shots you'll want to consider pants, skirts and shoes (or a pedicure).

Since we are doing digital shots we can incrementally take a look at our results to make sure we got a particular look before we move on.

  • Proofs
As a part of your package you will receive free online proofs. These can be accessed on the internet any time and will be available within 24 hours of shoot completion, usually sooner. Printed proof sheets are available for an extra fee by either color ink jet or printed color photograph. Ink jet proofs can be available immediately whereas color photographic proofs are available from Argentum Photo Lab and will be arranged by me for you to pick up.

Argentum Photo Lab is located in central Hollywood for the convenience of most of my shoot clients. If you do not live near the Hollywood area we can discuss alternative labs for processing and printing. I can also burn a copy of your entire shoot onto a CD for you to take to your favorite printer and duplicator.

  • Printing
My choice for printing would also be Argentum Photo Lab. They have been doing quality work since 1988 and have kept up with the changes brought on by the digital age. If you don't live in the Hollywood area or would like to have your prints done elsewhere I would be happy to work with the lab of your choice or burn a CD of your session for you (for an additional fee). We are flexible!
