I started studying photography in the early 1990's after purchasing my first Nikon camera. My background included make-up artistry and several non-creative jobs to pay the bills.
After assisting a couple of successful studio photographers, I decided it was a lot of unnecessary work to recreate a natural environment indoors when incredible light was available year-round in sunny Los Angeles. This is when I began testing different natural light techniques along with film techniques using friends and acquaintances. The results were spectacular.
As we approached the mid 90's the digital revolution and the internet became a new passion of mine. I bought my first Macintosh and began using programs like Adobe Photoshop and others that gave me greater control over my finished photographic product. I became competent in retouching as well as teaching myself how to create websites.
In 1995 I moved to Las Vegas with a partner and opened an Internet Service, Net Nevada. This brought me new competence on the Windows platform as well as networking and more advanced website creation. I also gained a wealth of knowledge about business in general. As we moved into the new millennium I missed the west coast, which is my home, and decided to return to persuing a more creative direction. This brings me to digital headshots LA.
While my indoctrination in photography was with film, as my
philosophy on digital states, I have worked hard to make sure the quality I get with digital matches the quality I can get with film. My background of photography and digital imaging is perfectly suited towards giving you the best final product available. Don't compromise quality for the convenience of digital... get both!
